Alicia Keys opened 'Dear Class of 2020' with a special message, but she appeared again to perform during the festivities.
Seated at her hot pink grand piano, the singer-songwriter played a slower version of her song 'Underdog" for the graduates.
"You get to be the writer, the author of your story. Of our story. And I just want you to know that everything that you need is right inside of you," she said during an interlude.
"I celebrate you. So honored to celebrate you right now," Keys added.
Earlier in the program, Keys had a hopeful speech for the class of 2020. "Right now, at this moment, I hope you can laugh, smile and allow yourself to reflect on your accomplishments."
